VoCoVo Names SVP to Support U.S. Expansion

VoCoVo, a retail communications company, named Joe Szala as SVP, overseeing the company’s U.S. operations as it accelerates its expansion in North America.

Szala will focus on enhancing sales operations and service delivery. In particular, he will work to build more strategic relationships with customers, strengthen its position as a trusted partner and enabler of connected store environments, meet retailer demand and ensure teams are more connected to one another, customers and real-time information.

Szala brings over two decades of experience in retail and grocery technology solutions. His career began with CPG brand marketing roles at ConAgra and Sara Lee and has since spanned key leadership positions at Aimia, Parcel Pending, Glympse and, most recently, Cust2Mate, where he served as SVP.

VoCoVo’s expansion into the U.S. follows growth in the U.K. and Europe, where it supports retailers such as Iceland, Asda and Tesco in realizing the connected store. The company also serves smaller stores through its VoCoVo Link solution, a purpose-built headset device. Szala’s leadership is expected to be instrumental in tailoring VoCoVo’s strategy to address North American market trends, including the increasing demand for connected store solutions.
