MALIBU, Calif. — WTG, the telecom division of Commerce Consulting Corporation (CCC), announced the promotion of Mark Sondergaard to the position of Senior Vice President of Provider Relations. He will begin his new post Nov. 1.
Sondergaard’s primary responsibilities will include managing provider partner relationships within the channel. He will report directly to CEO, Vince Bradley.
Bradley stated, “I am elated to have someone of Mark’s caliber and experience to continue to strengthen the bonds that we have developed with our existing providers while nurturing and onboarding our new partners. His expertise will take our Provider relationships to the next level.”
Sondergaard has been working as Vice President of Sales for WTG. Prior to that, he was with Sprint and McLeodUSA. Sondergaard’s 26-plus years of sales leadership and business development experience in the telecommunications industry makes him the perfect choice to fill the position, according to a WTG release.
Sondergaard said, “During these past 3 years with WTG, I have really grown to love the provider community and can’t wait to dive in to my new Provider Relations role. I look forward to working at a strategic level with our Providers to create an even stronger and more beneficial relationship.”
Bradley also announced the addition of Susan Penevolpe as Vice President of Sales filling the post Sondergaard vacates. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s sales organization. Penevolpe’s official start date is Nov. 1, and she will report directly to Bradley.
“To have one of the foremost experts on cloud in the channel join our team is very exciting. With the development of our Cloudology division and the addition of Susan, WTG’s sales lineup is unstoppable,” said Bradley.
Penevolpe was Channel Development Manager for West IP Communications. She began her career in telecommunications in 1993 with Centex Telemanagement. Penevolpe has held sales, management, and business development roles for companies like MFS Intelenet, LCI International/Qwest. She entered cloud-focused work almost 10 years ago at GoBeam/Covad, and Smoothstone/West IPC on a local, regional and national level.
