X2nSat has signed ClearNation Communications USA as an agent for its portfolio of satellite communications solutions geared to disaster recovery and business continuity.
“We are excited to have ClearNation as our newest agent: They will expand our reach into the Midwest and give us a knowledgeable partner in the telecommunications arena there,” said Dustin Young, vice president of channel sales at X2nSat. “We look forward to working with ClearNation and their agents to help protect their clients form outages during traditional telco outages, ranging from disasters to simple cable cuts.”
Satellite backup is increasingly in demand as business continuity continues to be a vital arm of large and small businesses alike. Virtually every process of modern enterprise operations involve network interface, increasing productivity while also making the entire organization vulnerable to network disruption. Productivity, logistics, revenue and employee safety are significantly impacted when primary connectivity is down for even a short period.
While everyday factors such as human error and equipment failure cause the majority of minor disconnections, the constant threat from excavation incidents, acts of terrorism and, increasingly, occurring natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and fires can take networks down for extended periods of time.
“Some of these risks could take your organization offline for only an hour, others for weeks, but in a competitive and highly-automated environment, even minutes of lost communication between company sites or processes can have significant results,” the company said, adding that in a recent internal study by Hewlett Packard, it was found that unexpected network downtime costs their organization approximately $900,000 per hour.
“We are excited to become an X2nSat agent in the Midwest,” said Donald Moehlenkamp, a ClearNation executive. “We are looking forward to showing the businesses of this region the advantages of working with the premier satellite communications service provider that so many others have used in major national disasters to provide emergency redundancy for their communication needs.”
He added, “ClearNation is proud to be able to show our clients and prospective clients how and why they don’t have to be at the mercy of the environment and severe weather conditions that might threaten their vital communication needs for keeping their business running.”
