Hot desking is a feature available in most VoIP phones. It allows an employee to use any desk in the office by pulling up their personal extension on the desk phone. An employee can make and receive phone calls from a personal phone number, show caller ID information and access voicemail. Hot desking gives employees flexibility in where they sit and work at any time. This boosts collaboration, flexibility and makes for a more autonomous work environment.
