Texas metro-regional fiber operator Alpheus Communications has signed an underlying provider agreement with AireSpring to support its MPLS and Ethernet solutions throughout Texas.
AireSpring’s MPLS Mesh product, available via its channel partners, allows customers to combine multiple MPLS networks with a single SLA, single bill and single point of contact, in a fully managed network implementation.
“AireSpring is pleased to have Alpheus as a strategic partner in our initiative to broaden services into Texas,” said David Lonstein, executive vice president of product management for AireSpring. “We found Alpheus’ deep knowledge of the Texas telecommunications market attractive, as well as their impressive network coverage and connections to a significant number of central offices, which we view as a distinct advantage in our efforts to reach the maximum customers in Texas.”
With more than 120 central offices providing Ethernet service capability throughout the Lone Star State, Alpheus offers AireSpring multiple access options to deliver high-bandwidth Ethernet services.
“Alpheus owns and manages its entire Texas long-haul network, which is designed to provide carriers diverse service options and control over the last mile,” said Chip Robertson, senior vice president of carrier sales for Alpheus Communications. “We are pleased to offer AireSpring our wide array of Ethernet services as they complete their Texas initiative, and we are eager to begin deploying network interfaces with AireSpring.”
