IP distributor Novus will expand its offering of Microsoft Lync-optimized and VoIP headsets through a new distribution agreement with Sennheiser, the audio equipment maker.
The partnership brings the Sennheiser portfolio of wired and wireless office call center and VoIP headsets into the Novus fold, including the Circle Series and DW Series.
Established in 1945 in Wedemark, Germany, Sennheiser has focused on microphone technology, RF-wireless and infrared sound transmission, headphone transducer technology and the development of active noise-cancellation.
“Sennheiser is an international innovator in best-in-breed audio equipment and headsets, and we’re proud to lead this respected company into the Lync world,” said Chris Meehan, managing partner at Novus. “Our goal is to expand Sennheiser’s product reach in Microsoft Lync environments, and bring its advanced wired and wireless headset technology to the call center and office masses.”
Sennheiser headsets are included in the ongoing Novus Endpoint Affiliate Program, to encourage Microsoft resellers to join Novus’ growing Lync channel community. Microsoft partners can earn cash back and special discounts on Sennheiser Lync headsets purchased through Novus for their Microsoft Lync enterprise voice implementations. And those whose customer leads culminate in sales of Sennheiser headsets will earn rebates for each unit sold – $4 per wired headset and $6 per wireless headset.
Sennheiser has recently expanded its line of Microsoft Lync-optimized business phone headsets. In the Circle Series, the dual-sided SC 260 USB ML and single-sided SC 230 USB ML provide working tools for contact center, office and UC communications professionals who require HD voice clarity in noisy environments. The ergonomic headsets feature Sennheiser ActiveGard technology for acoustic burst protection and a flexible, noise-canceling microphone for optimum speech clarity.
The DW Series includes three wireless DECT models: the 2-in-1 DW Office ML with headband and ear hook, the DW Pro1 ML single-sided headset and the DW Pro2 ML double-sided headset. All three have a transmission range of approximately 180 feet.
Novus will also distribute Sennheiser’s standard PBX, UC and VoIP office headsets, along with its entire catalog of telephonic business devices and accessories.
