United Network Services Inc. (UNSi) has added Global Capacity as an interconnection partner for TDM and Ethernet services in the Midwest.
UNSi has added an interconnection to Global Capacity’s One Marketplace at its Chicago point of presence (PoP) and will use its automated pricing and service delivery platform to extend the reach of its own MPLS Exchange Platform (MEP), and deliver additional network access solutions such as higher bandwidth private lines.
Global Capacity’s One Marketplace offers automated views into access network pricing and availability, and streamlined service delivery of global network capacity across multiple networks and geographies. UNSi plans to use the data to ensure that the rates it offers its customers are the most competitive.
“Global Capacity’s One Marketplace has been instrumental in expanding UNSi’s network reach and decreasing our overall time to market,” said Allan Schwartz, senior vice president of strategic planning and business development for UNSi. “One Marketplace has also played a key role in solving our TDM abilities covering specific areas of the U.S. market, which has been a growing need for us over the last few quarters. At the same time, One Marketplace positions us well to capitalize on new opportunities that continue to come our way.”
“Global Capacity is excited to support UNSi in its achievement of critical corporate initiatives including network reach and product expansion,” added Ben Edmond, chief revenue officer of Global Capacity. “Global Capacity’s One Marketplace offers UNSi access to competitive network quotes in real-time and a streamlined service delivery for the best customer experience. This allows UNSi to be more responsive and accurate in supporting customers and decreasing their overall time to market.”
