AT&T Expands Network on Demand to 100 Cities

AT&T’s Switched Ethernet Service with Network on Demand is now available in more than 100 U.S. cities. With Network on Demand, businesses can easily order more ports, instantly add or change services, scale bandwidth to meet their changing needs and manage their network in near real time, all through an online portal. The ability for customers to easily view their switched Ethernet topology and manage changes quickly based on needs is an example of the power of SDN.

“Businesses want fast, versatile network service tailored to their needs,” said Josh Goodell, vice president, Network on Demand. “The rapid expansion of Network on Demand for AT&T Switched Ethernet Servicesm will provide customers improved network control and help them work more efficiently. We look forward to adding more services in 2015.”

AT&T Switched Ethernet Servicesm is the first Network on Demand enabled service and more services will be added this year, says the company.
