ATTO Expands Connectivity for NetApp Storage

ATTO Technology is expanding its portfolio of connectivity options for NetApp storage and data management solutions with the Celerity 8 GB and Gen 5-powered 16 GB host bus adapters (HBAs), and the ThunderLink 1082 Desklink device.

Enterprises and users in high performance markets— such as financial services, the public sector, media and entertainment, healthcare, energy and scientific research— are challenged by the increased amount of data sets and require technology solutions to quickly retrieve, analyze and process information. ATTO’s connectivity, available via its VAR channel, coupled with NetApp E-Series and EF-Series storage systems, will deliver up to 12Gbps of sustained bandwidth and over 400K IOPS at sub-millisecond latency.

“NetApp’s EF-Series all-flash arrays and E-Series platforms with ATTO’s Celerity HBAs meet growing market demand for dense, performance-oriented architectures, delivering superior performance, reliability, efficiency and scale,” the company said.

Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs are designed to cover a range of use cases, from enterprise to workgroup, and server to workstation environments, engineered to optimize data transfer. It works with ATTO’s MultiPath Director to allow users to manage direct connections and multiple paths to NetApp enterprise storage systems. ThunderLink devices provide connectivity to NetApp enterprise-class storage and are targeted to small form-factor platforms, such as laptops and all-in-ones.
