Cologix has acquired 2.7 acres of land in Columbus, Ohio immediately adjacent to its existing five-acre data center campus at 555 Scherers Court. The company will expand on the new footprint to create a data campus supporting carrier-neutral, high-density colocation and enterprise services.
“This land acquisition reflects the strong demand for data center services in the Columbus market and Cologix’s commitment to invest in order to stay ahead of customers expansion needs,” the company said.
Cologix’s existing Columbus presence includes Ohio’s carrier-neutral data center, which spans more than 32,000 square feet within an 86,000 -square-foot, wholly owned, purpose built critical infrastructure facility. The location has 30+ networks that intersect on site and access to 30MW of utility power, which enables high density, enterprise grade colocation services.
“We are proud to support a growing roster of sophisticated customers in Columbus who validate the local economy’s vibrancy and its attractiveness to enterprises as a natural location for a highly resilient enterprise grade data center services and disaster recovery,” said Grant van Rooyen, president and CEO. “This land acquisition reflects our broader expansion ambitions in Columbus and allows us to develop an additional 100,000 square feet of incremental capacity over time.”
