VoIP provider AudioCodes is integrating its IP voice products with Microsoft’s unified communications solution, Lync, for a combined portfolio available through its partner channel.
The appropriately named AudioCodes One Voice for Microsoft Lync is aimed at accelerating the voice-enablement of Lync implementations by offering partners a single-source portfolio of IP phones, media gateways, enterprise session border controllers (E-SBCs), survivable branch appliances (SBAs) and a session experience manager (SEM), along with network management tools, support and professional services.
“We are seeing continued strong growth in sales of our products and service offering for the Microsoft Lync ecosystem over the past four years through close engagement with the large global community of Microsoft voice partners,” said Shabtai Adlersberg, AudioCodes’ CEO. “With our new ‘AudioCodes One Voice for Microsoft Lync’ initiative, we streamline Microsoft Lync voice project implementations by offering one source for voice products with one point of contact for all voice support issues, and one trusted partner for voice-related expertise and professional services.”
Enterprises and channel partners can in theory eliminate the time and coordination previously required to select, configure and deploy the devices and gateways needed for their UC pilots and rollouts, since the approach means that the ancillary components of a Lync solution selected from the portfolio will be made work together, supported by a single support organization.
“We see the AudioCodes One Voice for Microsoft Lync program as an opportunity to accelerate deployment of voice-enabled Microsoft Lync deployments,” said Giovanni Mezgec, general manager at Microsoft. “Simplifying the buying, integration and support processes enables quick realization of Microsoft Lync advantages. We are very pleased to have AudioCodes implement such a program and see clear benefits for our voice partners.”
