Avant Appoints Former Odin Exec as Chief Strategy Officer

Alex Danyluk has assumed the newly created position of chief strategy officer for AVANT, the technology distributor.

Danyluk had served as the vice president of Alliances at Odin since 2011, where he was responsible for building the global ISV and SaaS partner ecosystem. It now has 500 cloud offerings distributed by thousands of service providers serving over 10 million SMB companies.

At AVANT, Danyluk is responsible for leading the company’s strategic growth initiatives, including vendor partner program, channel expansion and marketing.

Danyluk has more than 30 years’ experience in cloud, service provider, hosting and managed business services. Prior to Odin, he held senior management roles at Microsoft, Qwest and AT&T. His extensive experience in the communications sector complements AVANT’s development of value-added sales-enablement tools for its VAR and Agent ecosystem.

“AVANT has experienced rapid growth since the company’s inception,” said Ian Kieninger, chief executive officer, AVANT. “To continue to scale and accelerate our progress we need to have the right talent to support growth. Today’s announcement of Alex joining the team underscores the vision for the future and ensures we execute effectively to maximize the opportunity ahead.”

“I am excited to join AVANT, a company whose reputation for passionate support and expertise in channel sales enablement for next generation IT services is the cornerstone of its success,” said Alex Danyluk, chief strategy officer, AVANT. “My mission is to accelerate growth with our suppliers and channel partners by leveraging AVANT’s strengths in sales enablement, providing channels the confidence to sell an expanding portfolio of IT services as the industry continues its rapid evolution to the cloud.”
