BlueJeans by Verizon Adds Integration with Apple Health to Reinforce Telehealth Visits

Verizon Business’ BlueJeans by Verizon unit announced a series of feature additions and integrations to enhance virtual telehealth visits. BlueJeans Telehealth, in particular, offers a purpose-built, HIPAA-ready virtual care solution to drive improved patient interactions and provide a “more-rounded” view of patient health.

The new Televisit Tile builds on the “patient care experience,” featuring integration with Apple’s Health app to allow users to share health-related data – including heart rate, sleep and physical falls – with the provider during a remote telehealth session.

BlueJeans expects, by mapping patient vitals to clinical team workflows, to more-closely replicate on-site visits and improve healthcare administration.

BlueJeans Telehealth works across mobile and desktop devices, and includes single-touch, download-free access to mitigate potential technology challenges. Users can select Apple Health app data from within the pre-visit patient landing experience, or through the Televisit Tile during the visit.

“The future of virtual healthcare is dependent on connectivity and the ability to drive real-time insights and deliver care through connected health,” said Krish Ramakrishnan, Chief Innovator and Strategist, BlueJeans by Verizon. “By empowering patients to share this level of contextual information directly into the BlueJeans Telehealth visit, we are enabling patients and healthcare providers to have more meaningful conversations and successful virtual consultations that can lead to better patient outcomes.”
