boom! Mobile, an MVNO, has launched a slew of new service options. And looking ahead, boom! anticipates releasing a nationwide independent dealer program in the third quarter of 2017.
Free voice over LTE (VoLTE) has been rolled out on the boom! RED network. This enhances the sound quality of voice calls over the LTE network and allows subscribers to use text and web functions during a voice call. Additionally, the service includes six-way conference calling.
Separately, visual voicemail and hot spot service has been added for Android subscribers on boom! RED. Visual Voicemail provides a visual interface allowing the subscriber to view and listen to messages in a random sequence. Hotspot allows a subscriber to make their device a Wi-Fi access point. The standard version of these features will be included at no additional charge until the beginning of 2019. Enhanced Visual Voicemail including voicemail to text will be released on April 18 for Android device subscribers for $2.99 per month or $25.00 per year.
Also, boom! Monitor has now been made available for all boom! RED subscribers. This feature allows subscribers to view recent usage summaries of voice, text and data. This feature has been added to the mobile-friendly customer portal.
