Cbeyond Inc. has been awarded a Bronze Stevie Award for Best New Product or Service of the Year in the Software—Cloud Application or Service category, for its TotalCloud Data Center (TCDC) service.
Released in October 2012, Cbeyond’s TCDC service is aimed at businesses that may lack the resources, knowledge or confidence to migrate successfully to a virtualized IT environment in the cloud. Available via channel partners, TCDC offers access to a portal which provides a detailed asset utilization overview, showcasing how user services are performing, and highlighting over- and under-performing components that need more immediate attention.
Delivered as an infrastructure-as-a-service offering, the TCDC service provides small and mid-sized businesses with their own “slice of the cloud” without requiring them to have their own hosting facilities.
“I’m delighted the entire team behind TotalCloud Data Center has been recognized with a Stevie by industry peers for the features, level of flexibility and performance this flagship product provides, all less than a year since launch,” said Christopher Gatch, executive vice president and CTO at Cbeyond. “TotalCloud Data Center enables businesses to better accommodate their changing business needs by managing resources, rather than equipment. We continue to see strong momentum for TotalCloud Data Center as businesses move their applications from onsite servers to our cloud.”
The 11th Annual American Business Awards were open to any public or private U.S. company, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the trophies were presented to winners during a gala banquet on September 16 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco.
More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Executive of the Year, among others.
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
