CellTrust, which provides secure mobile communication and message aggregation, has launched the CellTrust SL2 for mobile compliance enforcement and bring-your-own-device plans.
CellTrust is also partnering with Smarsh, which will sell the CellTrust SL2.
“It’s been seen time and again that companies who are slow to adopt strong, practical BYOD policies can face large fines from the regulatory enforcement bodies,” said Sean Moshir, chairman and CEO of CellTrust. “CellTrust SL2 helps meet compliance requirements and empowers the workforce with seamless mobile communications that can be secured, traced and archived for increased productivity and enhanced customer service.”
CellTrust SL2 allows regulated industries to put communication policies in place and enforce them. The retention and oversight of communications such as text messaging has become a key issue for regulatory compliance and eDiscovery.
“An extremely high percentage of organizations allow their employees to use text for business communications on a personal phone or device, but many of those organizations don’t have an archiving system in place to ensure compliance with regulatory or eDiscovery requirements, which can lead to fines, sanctions, or legal issues,” said Mike Pagani, senior director of product marketing at Smarsh.
He added, “By using CellTrust SL2 with The Archiving Platform from Smarsh, highly regulated or litigious businesses can enjoy the productivity benefits that text messaging offers knowing that the inherent risk is being mitigated. Business communications can be preserved in a search-ready state and produced on-demand when needed, alongside all other electronic communications types in The Archiving Platform.”
