Century Country Club of Purchase, New York has chosen FirstLight as its provider for fiber-based internet connectivity.
FirstLight’s services are a considerable upgrade to the historic country club’s prior infrastructure, the company says, and will provide members and staff with improved internet access.
Century’s clubhouse traffic picks up substantially on weekends, which is when the club was experiencing significant internet latency and connectivity issues prior to switching to FirstLight.
The company was running on a cable internet connection with outdated equipment. Century needed more bandwidth to accommodate end user demands.
The club’s new connection was turned up in late fall 2018, and they have been enjoying the benefits of FirstLight’s low latency, performance-oriented fiber optic network ever since.
“We’ve seen a substantial improvement in the speed and quality of our Internet connection since switching to FirstLight,” says controller Lowell Moustakas.
