FreeConferenceCall.com has earned the highest overall satisfaction score in G2 Crowd’s Winter 2016 VoIP Software Grid report, while Skype earned the highest overall market presence score.
Skype, Google Hangouts, Viber and Mitel Unified Communications have been named leaders in the report, receiving strong customer satisfaction scores with a large market presence. Additionally,FreeConferenceCall.com and Jive Hosted VoIP were named high performers, earning strong customer satisfaction marks with smaller market presence scores.
The Grid leverages customer satisfaction data reported by authenticated users along with vendor market presence determined from social and public data. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a leader, high performer, contender or niche.
Key findings revealed that among many benefits listed by users if VoIP solutions, improved collaboration and sales performance were highlighted as the most positive externalities. Additionally, the five products (FreeConferenceCall.com, Skype, Google Hangouts, Jive Hosted VoIP and Viber) on the Winter 2016 VoIP Grid with the highest customer satisfaction were all cloud-based versus on-premise.
Other key findings revealed the importance of mobility for VoIP products. All products in the Winter 2016 VoIP Grid offer both iOS and Android mobile applications, which is vital for VoIP users. These mobile applications significantly extend and enhance the VoIP features of a product, such as receiving calls remotely.
