Granite Expands Channel with Investments in People, Programs

Granite Telecommunications announced today that it has doubled down on the indirect sales channel, expanding its channel team and growing its VAR Partner Program with strategic distributor relationships.

“While many technology companies are laying off employees and underfunding their channels, Granite is investing more resources into its partner program,” said Charlie Pagliazzo, VP of Channels at Granite. “We’ve added channel pros and team members to improve the partner experience and growing alternate routes to market with new partner types.”

During the last six months, Granite Channels has added 16 professionals to its team, including three experienced channel leaders:

  • Colm Armstrong, Director of Strategic Partner Development
  • Eric Stark, Director of Regional Sales – West
  • Vern Jacques, Senior Regional Channel Manager – West

Granite Channels also has added teammates in other sales and support roles, including:

  • Two regional channel managers for partner engagement
  • Two technology resources managers who interface with sales engineering, network engineering and product procurement
  • Two channel support representatives to manage quotes, commissions and day-to-day details
  • Five channel sales associates (CSAs) who reach out to inactive partners
  • Two VAR development managers to support the VAR Partner Program

Granite Channels also expanded its year-old VAR Partner Program to support VARs through their preferred distributors, including ScanSource, TD-Synnex, Ingram and Jenne.

Launched in April 2022, Granite’s VAR Partner Program empowers VARs to deliver transformational technologies at scale by leveraging Granite’s operational platform – project management, provisioning, implementation, customer service, managed services and billing.

Granite’s VAR Partner Program launched with VARs working with Granite’s strategic technology vendors, such as Cradlepoint, Fortinet and Juniper Networks.

Pagliazzo attributes Granite Channels’ accelerated growth to several factors, including:

  • Stability – Channel leaders and teammates have worked with Granite Partners for 15-20 years, while newer additions are channel veterans with decades of experience.
  • Financial wherewithal – Granite is a $1.85 billion company that is financially stable and growing.
  • Solution expansion – Granite has embraced managed services and developed a full suite of managed voice, network, mobility and security services.
