HPE Aruba’s VP of Worldwide Channels to Retire

After 30 years supporting the channel – with seven years as VP of worldwide channels at HPE Aruba Networking – Donna Grothjan has announced she is retiring at the end of May. No replacement has been named, as a search has begun.

Grothjan’s focus always has been on helping the channel community adapt to and thrive in changing conditions through innovative, partner-focused programs and tools that set the bar in the industry.

Looking ahead, HPE Aruba will build on Grothjan’s legacy of commitment to our partners. Aruba’s channel programs will continue to develop and evolve with a focus on enabling our partners’ success with comprehensive tools and support.

Here is a little information regarding Grothjan:

  • She has been involved in indirect sales for more than 33 years.
  • She has been with HPE for nine years and has been VP of Worldwide channels for HPE Aruba Networking for seven of those.
  • As VP of Worldwide Channels for Aruba, she leads and manages all aspects of Aruba’s partnering strategy, channel sales, partner programs and partner enablement. In her previous role, she was vice president of worldwide distribution for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and had worldwide responsibility for distribution strategy and sales for the Enterprise Group.
  • Grothjan joined Hewlett Packard from Juniper Networks where during her nine-year tenure, she held several worldwide channel and distribution-focused executive positions. Prior to Juniper Networks, she served as senior vice president of product management for Ingram Micro North America, where she was responsible for all product management roles including vendor relationships, business development and purchasing.
  • She has been recognized consistently by the industry for her outstanding commitment to the channel. She was honored as a “Most Influential” channel chief more than five times and often was included among the Top 25 Sales Executives program.
