Ingram Micro today announced it has added the availability of cloud data business phone systems from Fonality, a provider of unified communications as a service, to Ingram Micro resellers throughout North America, Europe and Asia through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace.
Fonality provides service with United States and Australian telephone numbers, and utilizing its unique Hybrid-Hosted deployment model, in 97 other countries where customers can provide their own telephone network access.
Although businesses are moving increasingly more of their infrastructure to the cloud, most still have business phone systems designed to be owned and operated on premises, and don’t take advantage of the many options available in more modern unified communications systems. Increasingly, companies are looking to move their phone system to the cloud while also taking advantage of new features such as company messaging and presence, dedicated conference calling, video collaboration and screen sharing, file sharing, and call center applications. This allows IT managers to outsource the headache of running their own phone system while also taking advantage of an easy-to-consume monthly service pricing model that scales with them as they grow and technology changes.
“Companies want to focus on what they do best, not installing and managing complex systems. Few things are more complex and critical to a business than telecommunications,” said Nimesh Dave, executive vice president, global cloud computing, Ingram Micro Cloud. “Ingram’s cloud portfolio and Fonality’s expertise gives our channel partners a solution to quickly sell and deploy modern phone systems that meet their customers’ needs.”
“We’re excited to bring cloud-based business phone systems to every Ingram Micro resellers around the globe,” added Jeff Valentine, Fonality’s chief marketing officer. “As an organization committed to selling through channel partners, this relationship with Ingram Micro significantly extends our reach and allows us to grow rapidly with their resellers.”
