Following a rollout in North America, Ingram Micro has announced it is expanding Ingram Micro Cloud into a worldwide services organization.
“Ingram Micro’s proven expertise, experience and ability to execute as a master cloud services aggregator has accelerated our success and positioned us as one of the Top 100 cloud providers,” said Nimesh Dave, Ingram Micro’s executive vice president of global cloud computing. “Ingram Micro’s recent acquisition of SoftCom and adoption of a best-in-class automation platform also serve as significant growth catalysts that will further enable us to scale our cloud services success globally.”
The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is a transactional online marketplace for channel partners and IT professionals to educate themselves, browse, buy, deploy and manage a comprehensive suite of cloud services directly from Ingram Micro. Under the new worldwide organization, Ingram Micro’s online marketplace, which features more than 200 solutions and 70 vendors, will adopt a global platform that is built to enhance the marketplace’s capabilities and introduce a new series of cloud management services.
As part of Ingram Micro’s new global cloud organization, Turker Sokullu, president and founder of Softcom, now also serves as vice president cloud platform and product design, Ingram Micro. Renee Bergeron, vice president cloud computing, has expanded her role to include global cloud sales and marketing. Both executives report directly to Dave and are supported by a growing team of cloud services professionals.
