Lightower Acquires Baltimore’s HarborLite

 Lightower Fiber Networks has acquired network assets from HarborLite Networks, based in Baltimore, Md.

The agreement includes the acquisition of fiber located throughout downtown Baltimore and further strengthens Lightower’s network density in the region. Lightower will now have direct access to nearly all major office buildings, data centers and sports venues in the city, and Lightower customers gain direct access to numerous data centers in Baltimore, including 111 Market, 300 W. Lexington, 506 Central, 323 N. Charles and 1401 E. Russell.

Customers in Baltimore gain immediate access to all Lightower solutions including access to over 15,000 service locations throughout the Lightower footprint, which consists of 30,000 miles of fiber network across 17 states from Maine to North Carolina, and out to Chicago. In addition, customers have direct access to regional data centers including those in the Ashburn, Va. area. Lightower is also a Direct Connect Partner for Amazon Web Services and can provide all-fiber connectivity to numerous other cloud providers.
