Macquarie Telecom signs Deal with NBN Co

Macquarie Telecom has reached a deal with NBN Co to sell telecommunication and data services to companies in Australia.

The six-year wholesale supply deal totaled more than $100 million. It gives businesses access to Macquarie’s data, internet and SD-WAN products over NBN Co’s infrastructure including fiber to the premises, fiber to the node, hybrid fiber-coaxial, fixed wireless and satellite services.

Macquarie Telecom will create 50 new jobs, and will support the National Broadband Network (NBN).

“Business class NBN by Macquarie Telecom combines NBN Co’s national infrastructure with our superior technologies, like SD-WAN, to deliver to these [greater capability] demands and elevates Macquarie to tier one telco status,” said Macquarie Telecom  group executive Luke Clifton.
