Masergy Communications has launched its Cloud Router, to deliver software-defined networking (SDN) for its enterprise customers.
Cloud Router, available via channel partners, is a full-featured managed router, complementing Masergy’s existing on-premise managed router solutions. True to its namee, it requires no proprietary routing hardware, and eliminatees administrative costs associated with managing physical routers in corporate and branch offices.
Cloud Router is offered in Standard and Advanced service levels with a business continuity/disaster recovery option available for the Advanced service. Both services support bandwidths of up to 100Mbps. Customers can use both Cloud Router and on-premise managed router solutions to optimize cost and performance by location and application environment.
