ProfitBricks Goes National with IaaS Startup Program

Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) specialist ProfitBricks is taking its Foundation Program for startups nationwide. Qualifying startups will receive deep discount son ProfitBricks’ virtual data center services with user-defined network configurations– a potential ace in the hole for ProfitBricks channel partners looking to sign up new business.

“Startups demand a cost-effective cloud computing alternative and ProfitBricks is answering that call,” said ProfitBricks USA CEO Bob Rizika. “Our unmatched overall performance using InfiniBand technology is an industry first and current Foundation Program startups are already experiencing the benefits. We are ready to give startups nationwide the additional incentive to get up and running faster.”

ProfitBricks launched the Foundation Program to New England-area startups in December. Eligible startups must have least one U.S. office and revenue of less than $1 million per year. These companies will receive 20 percent off of their IaaS services from ProfitBricks for one year and have access to a cloud server from ProfitBricks for one year without cost.

“In our business, performance is key, any delays with our Web site or search engine equals lost business,” said Robert Strobel, vice president of AllTrips.com. “We chose ProfitBricks because they were the highest performing public cloud provider allowing our front-end and back-end to leverage 80Gbps private cloud networks.”

ProfitBricks launched its cloud computing IaaS services six months ago, with dedicated cores, free software defined networks and double-redundant high-speed storage. The company provides round-the-clock system administrator engineer-level personal support, and offers an intuitive drag-and-drop Data Center Designer.

“The onboarding process was easy and quick. ProfitBricks support has been incredibly responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. Their virtual data center model allows us to quickly and easily increase capacity as our needs change,” said George Papazickos, director of products at ProSent Mobile. “While our experience with our previous provider was good, ProfitBricks delivers the best overall value while requiring less effort to setup and maintain.”

The ProfitBricks Referral Program is aimed at developers, IT consultants, system integrators, independent software vendors and what it calls “well-connected technology influencers” looking for recurring revenue streams. It offers a 25 percent of a customer’s net revenue as compensation through the end of March, and a 20 percent referral bonus between March and June. In all cases, compensation will continue for the length of the customer contract up to a full three years, the company said.

In addition to its referral program, ProfitBricks is developing a reseller program and enrolling early VARs interested in offering cloud computing services.
