Proofpoint Promotes Blake Sallé to EVP, Worldwide Sales

Proofpoint today announced the promotion of Blake Sallé to the position of executive vice president, worldwide sales.

Sallé is currently the company’s theater vice president of the Americas and brings more than 20 years of experience in sales leadership to his new position at Proofpoint. In his new role, Sallé will lead the global sales and channel teams and be responsible for the direction and management of the company’s sales revenue strategies.

“Blake was brought into Proofpoint 18 months ago due to his strength in running large global sales teams,” said Gary Steele, CEO, Proofpoint. “Proofpoint’s leadership team conducted a global search to find the best candidate for the role, and after reviewing many candidates, it is clear that Blake is the best leader for our global sales organization. I’m confident he will be instrumental in delivering growth in our business for many years to come.”

During his career, Sallé has held key leadership positions across worldwide sales, channel, customer success, strategy and field operations in five different capacities ranging from start up to scale out. He has worked for companies such as Cisco, VCE, Johnson & Johnson, and CSC.

Sallé holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
