Rackspace Debuts Updated Channel Program

Rackspace has launched its new partner program, which offers better visibility and access to its portfolio of private and public clouds, application services, managed hosting, colocation and managed security.

Updates include the ability to leverage both self-service and customized program models to help meet their needs and the needs of their customers.

“Rackspace recognizes that as technology continues to evolve, end users are continuing to uncover new business challenges and as a result must modernize their IT,” said Lisa McLin, channel chief at Rackspace. “The new program will better enable partners to service their customers through our unrivaled portfolio and unbiased expertise to help organizations as they transform their IT.”

As part of the program, partners can take advantage of new features, including: Increased partner benefits such as a formalized market development funds program, sales and technical resources, and customer life-cycle management; and dedicated partner account managers, Partner Open Book events, Rackspace executive sponsorship, priority access to the Rackspace Customer Experience Center and joint marketing content.

“By expanding their ‘fanatical support’ mantra to a ‘fanatical experience’ to the channel for the partner and their customers, Rackspace recognizes the importance that channel can play in any sales organization,” said Steve White, vice president of channels and alliances, IDC. “The investments Rackspace is making in the channel will ultimately provide a higher-touch fanatical experience for the channel, and in turn will enable partners to better serve their customers.”
