Recorded Future Debuts Channel Program for Threat Intel

Recorded Future, the threat intelligence company, has launched its Connect value-added reseller (VAR) partner program.

The program provides resellers with deal registration and competitive margins, the company said.

The opportunity is real: The threat intelligence market is growing at 84 percent CAGR and is expected to hit $1.5 billion in 2018, according to IT-Harvest, and Gartner estimated that 60 percent of enterprises will utilize commercial threat intelligence services to help inform their security strategies by that same time-frame.

Recorded Future collects applicable threat intelligence from a range sources in real time and delivers customized alerts to dramatically improve operational efficiency and network defense. The platform is powered by patented machine learning to deliver automation, context and relevancy, to respond to emerging threats up to 10 times faster than other platforms, the company claims, by eliminating manual processes.

The program offers:

  • Intelligence briefings from experienced analysts

  • Access to research and insight from the Insikt Group

  • Deal registration, margin and renewal discounts

  • Product trials and resources

  • Sales training, tools and support

  • Technical support and resources

  • Technical and sales certifications

  • Threat intelligence marketing campaigns and support

Recorded Future can also integrate with existing vulnerability management, incident response and threat assessment services, and has certified integrations with Splunk Enterprise/ES, HPE ArcSight, IBM QRadar, Resilient, Maltego and others. These provide a way for Connect VARs to take advantage of security technology they may already be selling to partners. Connect VARs have access to support and resources for Recorded Future productized integrations for building larger security software solutions sets.

“We are on a mission to bring threat intelligence powered by machine learning to the masses at a time when enterprises are plagued by an expanding threat landscape,” said Christopher Ahlberg, CEO and co-founder at Recorded Future. “With an increasing need for organizations to implement a proactive threat intelligence strategy, VARs are the perfect partners to support our aggressive growth.”

Recorded Future is already partnered with several VARs, including: Acensi, Angara Technologies Group, August Schell, Bacher Systems, BlackSite International, BlackLake Security, Blue Bay Technologies, Blue Turtle Technologies, Brookcourt Solutions, Communication Valley Reply, Gulf Business Machines, EJADA Systems, HIC Networks, Hurricane Labs, Integration Partners, iSECURE, PacketLogix, Proficio, Red River, RTP Computer Services, S21sec, SecureLink, Set Solutions, StarLink (Distributor), Stratejm, Telexiom, Tiberium Security, Versos and WavePort Security.

“The Connect Program is a great opportunity for VARs to differentiate themselves in the market by filling a gap in their security portfolio and providing an innovative offering to existing customers, all while enhancing their trusted security advisor status with their customers,” said David Sauer, director of Global Channels at Recorded Future.
