Server Farm Appoints Data Center Vet as COO

Server Farm Realty, the data center operator, has appointed Tim Doherty to the position of COO.

Doherty will be tasked with advancing Server Farm Realty’s organization and processes in support of the company’s continued growth and development.

“Tim’s industry standing, operational leadership and exemplary track record ensuring all key service targets are exceeded in our national data centers were instrumental in the decision to appoint him chief operating officer,” said Avner Papouchado, president of Server Farm Realty. “Particularly given Server Farm Realty’s recently launched partnerships and our innovative approach to new data center design and development, Tim’s vision, senior executive experience and operational expertise will be invaluable assets in his new role.”

Prior to Server Farm Realty, Doherty served as managing director of Nobis Technology Group, a parent holding company to approximately 12 specialized firms as well as a broad spectrum of websites. He was also the president and CEO of Fortress Colocation Centers, playing an instrumental role in the company’s merger with Digital Forest to create high density, carrier-neutral colocation services provider Digital Fortress in February 2012.

Following the merger, Doherty served as the organization’s COO and co-founder. Prior to Fortress, Doherty was COO and co-founder of CoreLink Data Centers, president and COO at Mzima, a colocation and optical network provider in North America and Europe, and vice president at Peer 1 Hosting.

“Server Farm Realty’s dynamic positioning as a builder and designer of highly reliable, state-of-art data centers aligns with my own industry outlook and experience,” Doherty said. “I am honored and pleased by their confidence in me, and look forward to helping set an operational and technical standard of excellence that continues to define the Server Farm Realty mission.”
