Solera Networks Taps Channel for Big Data Security

Security firm Solera Networks is jumping into the channel with the launch of the 20:20 Partner Program, which is looking to tap network security solution providers to offer its big data security analytics, threat intelligence and detection for advanced malware, unknown threats and zero-day attacks.

As part of the program, Solera Networks is rolling in a variety of partner benefits, including training, deal registration and real-time customer evaluations and services, it said.

The Solera DeepSee platform offers a variety of installation approaches, including software-only, turnkey hardware and virtual appliance form factors. To analyze threats and perform forensics on breaches, DeepSee draws data directly from SIEM, IDS/IPS, next-gen firewalls and malware protection solutions—including HP ArcSight, LogRhythm, McAfee, Palo Alto Networks, Q1 Labs, Splunk, Dell SonicWALL, Arbor Networks and Sourcefire.

“We’ve named our new channel program 20:20 because the Solera DeepSee Platform provides real-time threat intelligence and complete security visibility into everything that traverses a company’s network,” said Alex Seton, vice president of worldwide channels and strategic alliances at Solera Networks. “Both our solution and program are designed to create new revenue and growth opportunities for partners. Delivering big data security analytics and advanced threat protection into end-user networks augments many other solutions and services that these partners are already providing.”

Partners have a choice of two tiers: Premier Partner or Authorized Reseller. Solera partners then receive varied levels of training, inside sales support, deal registration, lead referrals and marketing support.

In addition to the platform itself, VARs can offer professional services: Solera DeepSee supports situational awareness, security incident response, continuous monitoring, data loss analysis and monitoring, advanced malware detection and policy compliance.

Integrated solutions are also on offer: Solera DeepSee builds on traditional prevention-based tools through tight integration with leading network security solutions. DeepSee is available through open software, preconfigured appliance, hosted or virtual form-factors.

“When Solera Networks says they integrate with other technologies, they mean it. It was very easy to deliver Solera DeepSee on top of other security offerings already in our portfolio, which provided the ability to offer real, added value to our customers,” said Mike Porter, vice president of business development, SOS Security, a Forsythe Company. “It’s clear that big data security intelligence and analytics adds enormous benefits to the solutions we offer, ultimately making our customers’ infrastructure more secure.”
