Telesystem has announced the second of two special celebrity guests that will be speaking and taking pictures with agents at the Channel Partners Evolution trade show this October.
Major League Baseball legend Gary Matthews, known around the baseball world simply as “Sarge,” will be meeting with Telesystem partners and guests on October 10.
The former outfielder played 16 seasons in the majors, including three with the Phillies (1981-83), and he currently serves as the club’s ambassador. He was the Most Valuable Player of the 1983 National League Championship Series, and won the National League’s Rookie of the Year Award in 1973. He also played for the San Francisco Giants (1972-76), Atlanta Braves (1977-80), Chicago Cubs (1984-87) and finished his playing career with the Seattle Mariners in 1987. For his career, Gary hit .281 with 234 home runs, 978 RBI and 183 stolen bases in 2,033 games.
“Gary will be meeting, taking pictures, and signing autographs for agents as part of our ‘Security Hour’ on the first full day of CP Evolution,” said Telesystem Channel Chief Bruce Wirt. “Our ‘Security Hour’ is sponsored in part by Sophos and will provide agents with an educational overview of Ransomware and DDoS threats, as well as the latest features in our security offering.”
