Telesystem Names Manager of Sales Engineering

Telesystem, a leading provider of nationwide managed technology solutions, announced the promotion of Shawn Nace to lead its sales engineering efforts nationally, as the organization scales and adds key resources to support its growth in strategic products and services.

Nace joined the Telesystem team in 2007, initially managing customer care at Line Systems, an organization that Telesystem acquired in 2014.  Nace continued his career growth by ascending to a director role in the Line Systems client care department and became a senior sales engineer in 2015.

In his expanded role, Nace will be responsible for creating processes and procedures to ensure that Telesystem understands each customer deployment from the inside out, capturing deep knowledge of customer systems, networks and requirements.

As Telesystem’s sales organization expands, Nace will lead the existing team of sales engineers and will be responsible for growing the team appropriately to ensure each time zone is represented equally.

“Having been part of the Telesystem team for 15 years, I have witnessed the company’s tremendous growth and expansion,” Nace said. “Now more than ever, I believe Telesystem has the comprehensive product portfolio necessary to exceed the standards of today’s most demanding customer. I am thrilled to take on this new opportunity to help shape Telesystem’s future.”

Nace is a recognized expert in the technology brokerage channel, serving on countless panel discussions over the last 10 years in addition to leading technology trainings and partner-focused educational sessions.

“I’ve been in this industry going on my 24th year, and Shawn is in the top five sales engineering minds that I’ve ever worked with,” said Telesystem Chief Revenue Officer Bruce Wirt.  “He cares deeply about the final output to the customer and builds a high level of trust with all key stakeholders along the way.  I’m extremely happy to have Shawn on the Telesystem team, and I’m excited to give him this opportunity to take another step forward in his career.”

Telesystem’s go-to-market strategy centers around building technology solutions for SME organizations that value a trusted layer of expertise they can rely on and a managed experience that allows them to focus their energy on their own business rather than vendor management.

Telesystem boasts a nationwide low-latency network to offer voice, networking, managed security, and cybersecurity coast to coast.  Strategically, new business opportunities are driven through the technology brokerage channel.

The company also has umbrella agreements with major technology firms like Scansource, Telarus, TBI, and Appsmart, among others.
