TouchTone Communications today announced that NEC Corporation of America’s IP phone systems have been tested and certified to work with TouchTone SIP local and long distance services. The certification ensures customers that TouchTone SIP services and NEC UNIVERGE IP phones (for the UNIVERGE SV8100 and SL1100 communications servers) will work together seamlessly to deliver reliable and easy-to-deploy communication services, said the companies.
The interoperability certification process was assisted by an authorized NEC dealer and TouchTone Communications agent Gary Jacobson of the Midwest Communications Group.
“We’ve enjoyed working with TouchTone for over four years so naturally we wanted to offer TouchTone SIP services with our NEC phone systems,” Jacobson said. “With the certification complete, NEC has provided a step-by-step guide to configure NEC communication servers for TouchTone SIP making deployment easy.”
TouchTone SIP solutions serve as a complete T1/PRI replacement and make the most of the customer’s current infrastructure to provide reliable and quality voice services.
TouchTone SIP service is available across the United States, and customers can choose from an unlimited local and long-distance calling plan or a metered (per minute) solution. If customers do not already have a high-speed Internet connection, TouchTone can also provide data services.
“The combination of NEC’s award-winning IP phones and TouchTone’s SIP services will provide business and enterprise customers a truly powerful, economic, and fully integrated business phone system solution,” said Ken McCormack, vice president of sales at TouchTone Communications.
