Truphone, which has been actively recruiting SMB-focused channel partners to sell its global mobile recording solutions, today announced the opening of a new office in New York City as part of its continued U.S. expansion.
With U.S. headquarters in Durham, N.C., the company’s New York office, located at 501 Seventh Avenue, will be Truphone’s fifth location in the United States and the new headquarters for Truphone’s U.S. sales operations.
Leading the firm’s sales efforts in the U.S. will be newly appointed vice president of sales Guy Gettens. Gettens brings more than 17 years of experience in telecommunications and technology to Truphone – both in the U.K. and the United States. He will be responsible for driving sales across the United States through a newly expanded direct sales channel, and he will also manage all third-party indirect sales channels in the U.S.
“New York is an important market for international business, and provides Truphone the opportunity to continue expanding its reach and scope of services for U.S.-based clients,” said Tim Raby, senior vice president and general manager for Truphone Americas. “Guy’s expertise and knowledge of the industry is unmatched, and he will be invaluable in bringing Truphone’s innovations to businesses that demand a truly global mobile network.”
The Truphone Mobile Recording platform is purpose-built to help financial organizations meet regulatory requirements, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act, by capturing all voice and SMS traffic within the network.
