United Network Services Inc. (UNSi) has signed a partnership agreement with RapidScale, an emerging cloud application provider and part of UNSi’s new Ecosystem Program. The partnership adds the ability to deliver business applications from the cloud via UNSi’s private MPLS network, which lends quality of service (QoS) to the customer experience.
As businesses transition to the cloud, security and QoS are becoming top of mind. “Adding RapidScale to our market-defining Ecosystem Program is an advantage to all of our partners and customers,” said Allan Schwartz, senior vice president of strategic planning and business development. “Partnerships such as this one will continue to redefine the industry expectations of ‘traditional’ telecom, and instead come to expect the best product when, where and as it is needed.”
The deal also adds the CloudMail, CloudDesktop and CloudRecovery services to the UNSi portfolio, which is available through channel partners.
“CloudMPLS will provide end users the biggest benefit in the form of QoS, security and ROI since host site bandwidth costs will decrease as Internet access can be pulled from CloudMPLS facilities at a fraction of the cost compared to dedicated bandwidth to an office,” the companies explained.
