Westcon-Comstor Appoints North America EVP

Westcon-Comstor has promoted Andrew Warren to executive vice president, North America, responsible for driving the company’s US and Canadian operations.

Carol Giles Neslund succeeds Warren as vice president and general manager of the fast-growing Security Solutions Practice at the distributor.

Under Warren’s direction the security solutions practice grew from $275 million to more than $1 billion in sales and today represents more than half of Westcon-Comstor’s North American business. Over the past months Warren assumed leadership responsibility for Comstor US, the Cisco Systems-solutions division of the company. Warren began his career with Westcon-Comstor in 2010.

“Andrew has done a superb job developing our security practice, cementing our reputation as the leading security distributor globally,” said Dolph Westerbos, WestconGroup CEO. “He is the ideal successor to Lynn Murphy, who after an impressive 18-year success record at Westcon-Comstor is pursuing other learning opportunities. I am pleased that Lynn and Andrew have had six months to ensure a smooth transition.”

Prior to joining Westcon-Comstor, Warren spent six years at Avnet, and he has more than 20 years of executive-level channel experience.

“The entire Westcon-Comstor team works hard every day to ensure we have the right solutions for our customers,” Warren said. “Our success comes from a carefully constructed strategy to capture high-growth opportunities in security, collaboration, networking and data center. Together, we are transforming the industry through our innovative cloud, global deployment and services capabilities—all backed by a world-class team. I look forward to continuing that mission into 2017 and beyond.”
