Technology distributor WestconGroup has inked a distribution agreement with Guidance Software to add the EnCase cybersecurity products to its portfolio.
“New security exploits and threat vectors are continuously evolving, causing enterprises of all sizes to look for the latest, most innovative security solutions on the market,” said Westcon security practice vice president Andrew Warren. “As a leader in security, Westcon is committed to arming our security solution providers with products that are effective in today’s threat environment. Guidance Software enhances our critical endpoint security portfolio, which addresses one of the fastest growing and most vulnerable threat vectors our end users are facing today.”
In Gartner’s November 2014 Competitive Landscape report, Guidance Software was recognized as an endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools market leader. The company’s EnCase suite offers analytics to expose signs of intrusion, behavioral anomalies and advanced threats across the enterprise and assess connections to potentially untrusted networks; and, the incident response capability enables a security team to react quickly to incoming threat alerts to prioritize, investigate and remediate incidents using endpoint data for context.
“As the recognized world leader in distribution of security solutions, WestconGroup only partners with industry leaders. We are very pleased to be the vendor of choice for endpoint security,” said Jay Ackerman, chief revenue officer for Guidance Software. “Working together, WestconGroup and Guidance Software deliver endpoint security with shared intelligence and automation to solution providers.”
