CVx @ IT EXPO Adds Momentum to Show’s Growth

Tales of a record Nor’easter crippling a chunk of the East Coast had organizers of IT EXPO anxiously watching the Weather Channel early in the week. But by Wednesday evening, and the opening reception of the EXPO at the Miami Beach Convention Center, worries over cancelled flights had passed and attendees were on the floor in full force. The trade show floor had a palpable buzz of activity and conversation that continued over into the second and third day. The colocated CVx event had record attendance with nearly double the registrations from a year earlier, and traffic in the CVx trade show aisles validated those numbers.

In addition to about 150 exhibiting companies, those attendees were treated to nearly 100 educational sessions and keynote, in tracts ranging from SIP trunking and M2M to network virtualization and IoT, as well as the usual amount of vendor parties and receptions in the backdrop of Miami Beach.

At the CVx Educational Theatre, located directly on the CVx @ IT EXPO show floor, seats were filled throughout the event, as attendees were treated to expert advice and analysis from speakers including Tim Basa, of BullsEye Telecom, who led off the sessions with his usual brand of no-nonsense, uber-relevant and highly actionable sales advice. Peter Radizeski, of RAD-INFO, who entertained and enlightened attending channel managers with his advice on how to choose, recruit, train and motivate agents and sub-agents.

Other topics and technologies covered during the CVx sessions included, the importance of Wi-Fi in enterprise networks (Brent Baker, Powernet); adding SMS business services to your portfolio (Noreen Rucinski, Business Texter); scalable cloud communications (Jamaal Savwoir, Star2Star); and putting the advantages of SDN and NFV into customers’ hands (Joe Corvaia, NTT Communications).

If you were unable to make it to Miami Beach for this winter’s CVx @ IT EXPO, never fear, you can join us this summer at IT EXPO West.
