After the recent announcement of Telarix’s popular iXTools software being offered in a SaaS model, iXLink, a partner relationship management service (PRM) and business unit of Telarix, Inc., announced it is extending its functionality to include contract signatures to its base of products that include Price List Receipt and Distribution and Bill Receipt and Distribution. This new functionality will be an electronic document management and exchange service for global service providers that automates the selling, administrative, and operational processes for international wholesale carriers dealing with volume commitments and other complex deals associated with exchanging traffic.
The recent increase in complex interconnect agreements amongst carriers, such as bilateral and swap deals, the corresponding number of complex rating, pricing and discount terms and the diverse products and services included has created additional financial risks for service providers. This has led to a demand for automating the tedious process of negotiating contracts and getting them signed, say executives at Telarix.
“iXLink was originally created in collaboration with carriers in the market to solve a need for the exchange of price lists; over time the need to exchange information beyond invoices has grown. Adding Contract Receipt and Distribution is another way we are working collaboratively with the industry to solve information exchange problems, states Glen Kazerman, CEO of Telarix Inc. “This new product is a perfect fit to the existing iXLink product line.”
iXLink’s new document exchange and workflow solution manages pre-defined templates, validates the content against a set of configurable business rules and applies electronic signatures before passing the information downstream. This service also handles mid-cycle rate and dial code amendments as well as side letters typically associated with complex contracts. In addition to email and portal access, a number of API’s are provided to ease integration with upstream and downstream OSS/BSS systems.
“iXLink’s Contract Receipt and Distribution service provides carriers with a powerful solution that eliminates paper, reduces the negotiation time and cost of sales associated with complex deals such as bilaterals, and minimizes the potential for disputes and audit issues” states Glen Kazerman. “By simplifying this process and enabling two-way communication, carriers can focus on high value commercial activities rather than manipulating and tracking the status of paper contracts.”
