Nitel, a next-generation technology service provider, announced it has been presented with a Stevie Award in the Customer Service Department of the Year – Telecommunications category. This represents the third such award Nitel has won since 2019.
The award was given to the Nitel network operations center (NOC) in recognition of the work it did in 2021 to create a positive experience for Nitel’s business customers amid significant shifts in technology over the past year, including:
- Increases in remote work
- Accelerated shifts to public cloud environments
- Expanding landscape of cyberthreats
The Nitel NOC responded to these challenges by improving in key areas such as shorter customer hold times, improved average time to repair and increased customer satisfaction scores.
The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development and sales professionals. The Stevie Awards organizes eight of the world’s leading business awards programs, also including the prestigious American Business Awards and International Business Awards.
More than 2,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry, in 51 nations, were considered in this year’s competition. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 150 professionals worldwide on eight specialized judging committees.
“Nitel is proud of the work our NOC team performs in service to our customers,” Nitel COO Mak Shomade said. “The experience we deliver through our network operations center is just one example of the commitment Nitel makes to ensuring the long-term health and performance of our customers’ digital environments.”
