Abundant IoT Kicks Off 2024 with SKO in Malibu

Abundant IoT held its annual sales kick-off meeting on Thursday and Friday, January 25-26. The event started at Abundant’s eIoT demo site in Malibu, Calif. Just under 100 attendees came from various industries across the country to learn more about digital transformation with a focus on energy services (eIoT).

The event kicked off with education from IoT platform providers Granite Communications, Claro and Azuga then shifted into IT services auction with AIQ. Next was a dive into energy services with Ravenvolt, Dynamic Energy and Strategic Microgrid. Abundant wrapped it up with a talk about how everything previously presented fits together in eIoT. Abundant IoT launched and demonstrated its new PRM through xAmplify, showcased AI Sales Enablement tools, and provided the E.S.G. consulting division product launch.

Next was a dynamic digital transformation industry panel. On the panel were former CenturyLink channel chief Blake Wetzel, now CEO OF AIQ; David Sonenstein from AMI talking about carbon ratings for E.S.G.; Abundant SVP of IoT, Tem Wu; Chris Johnson from Azuga; and Steve McClain from the Strategic Microgrid. The panel was moderated by Abundant CEO Vince Bradley, and the discussion was around thought leadership on digital transformation and predictions for the future in both IoT and AI.

After the panel, attendees were taken on a tech tour of eIoT technology, including demos of LongFi technology, harmonic filtration, EV charging, water valve and microgrid (solar with battery).  It is imperative to see this kind of technology demonstrated to fully understand it, and advisors on hand really enjoyed the demonstrations, said executive from Abundant IoT.

Thursday’s onsite festivities wrapped up with an ocean view sunset reception by the water. Live entertainment during the reception was provided by Bradley’s band, Run Screaming, who played through the sunset. Attendees then departed for half a dozen dinners related to IoT or energy technology.

Friday was a shotgun scramble golf tournament at Los Robles Greens. The event wrapped up with an awards reception where technology advisors won awards and networked into the afternoon.

Technology advisors in attendance received the first step in a digital transformation certification by learning about eIoT. This certification will continue on the nationwide webinar SKO on February 8; at IT Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., February 13 – 15; and at the spring Channel Partners conference in Las Vegas, on March 11-14.
