Equinox Gears up for Annual Fraud Control Event

Equinox Information Systems has announced plans to attend and participate in the three-day Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA) Annual Meeting this month.

Set for June 26 to 28 at the Kimpton Monaco in Chicago, the gathering promises to be an educational experience. CFCA will kick off the event with a pre-conference workshop on combating consumer fraud, followed by a full agenda of case studies, knowledge network sessions, a toll-free fraud panel, and speakers from all segments of the telecom and securities industries.

“The annual meeting is always one of CFCA’s best attended events of the year,” explained CFCA Secretary, Stacy Graham. “In addition to the confirmed educational sessions, we’ve just completed elections for CFCA’s Board and look forward to introducing those officers at this meeting. As always, we are grateful for Equinox’s continued sponsorship and support of our event, and I look forward to seeing them at the conference.”

An active member and sponsor of CFCA for over 21 years, Equinox participates in multiple CFCA events each year. Implementation and training specialist Christi Vanoye will be on hand representing Equinox at the event. Many CFCA members are also Equinox customers who use Protector. The automated fraud management solution (FMS) instantly notifies analysts when suspicious activity occurs, escalates alerts for high-risk incidents, enacts automatic blocks when warranted, and includes integrated case management tools to speed investigation and incident closure.

“I am excited about the CFCA meeting this month, as it allows carriers across the entire industry to discuss best practices for dealing with the ever-changing issue of fraud,” explained Equinox’s Christi Vanoye. “Also, I look forward to seeing so many of our customers at the event. Per tradition, I will host the Equinox customer dinner on Tuesday, June 26, which is especially fun to do in my home town.”
