FatPipe, Lepton Optimize SD-WAN for Satellite

FatPipe Networks is collaborating with Lepton Global Solutions to optimize SD-WAN over satellite for VSAT customers.

Lepton recently launched Lepton BOOST, a secure SD-WAN solution designed to optimize satellite connection link traffic, powered by FatPipe. BOOST is designed to facilitate the secure and timely delivery of data to customer locations from VSAT-based endpoints. Integrated into the company’s ground infrastructure, Lepton’s BOOST virtual network utilizes five “engines” to provide WAN optimization: Security, efficiency, Quality of Service (QoS), congestion control and virtualized routing.

It provides WAN network management specifically designed to address the high-latency, low-bandwidth environment of satellite networking, with features including caching, compression, acceleration, VPN IPSEC and global single IP addressing.

“Choosing FatPipe Networks to help us bring SD-WAN to our satellite customers allowed us to incorporate unique satellite network infrastructure capabilities required to successfully deliver SD-WAN to our satellite customers that’s secure, flexible and cost-effective,” said Rob Weitendorf, managing partner at Lepton.

“Lepton’s FatPipe-powered BOOST SD-WAN solution has the potential to transform satellite connections by introducing the enormous benefits of virtualizing and overlaying various satellite network links,” said Sanch Datta, CTO, FatPipe Networks. “Lepton BOOST customers can now rely on secure and cost-effective routing of data and applications between headquarters and remote locations without concern for network performance or data breaches.”
