WISPAmerica, an annual conference and trade show dedicated to the fixed Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) industry, today announced that FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly will keynote at the WISPAmerica 2015 conference on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. The conference will be held from February 23 – 27, 2015 at the St. Louis Union Station – a Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in St. Louis, Mo. The Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) is the host of WISPAmerica 2015.
Commissioner O’Rielly will speak about spectrum policy and small business regulatory burdens at the FCC. “I am pleased to speak at WISPAmerica this year as the WISP industry provides a valuable service, the Internet, to rural America,” said Commissioner O’Rielly. “I look forward to meeting those that connect the underserved areas, directly and indirectly, at the event.”

Commissioner O’Rielly came to the FCC in 2013 after a long stint on Capitol Hill, where he was a Policy Analyst on Banking, Technology, Transportation, Trade, and Commerce issues. Prior to that, he was Legislative Director for Senator John Sununu.?Commissioner O’Rielly received his B.A. from the University of Rochester.
