PCCW Global’s Console Connect Enters Into Collaboration Deal with ActivePort

PCCW Global’s Console Connect entered into a collaboration deal with Australia’s ActivePort. This agreement will focus on extending the availability of ActivePort’s SD-WAN 2.0 technology using software-defined interconnection.

The company will directly integrate Console Connect within “key” metro areas in multiple countries, allowing ActivePort to provide a hybrid WAN with private, Layer 2 connections across its IP network.

ActivePort’s SD-WAN gateway allows enterprises to directly connect from the edge to Console Connect, using a local API (application programming interface) to provision metro and international connectivity across its automated fabric. Customers can also – using the same API – create a direct, private route from their edge to Console Connect’s MeetingPlace ecosystem of UCaaS (Unified Communications-as-a-Service), SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), IX (internet exchange) Peering and other NaaS (Network-as-a-Service) platform partners in over 50 countries, including direct and on-demand interconnections to major cloud service providers.
