Toshiba America has added audio conferencing and call accounting to its unified communications solution, available via partners.
The two free, built-in applications will come with the IPedge R1.7.1 upgrade. Meet-Me Conference is for quick, on-demand conferences; and Call Accounting is for enabling users to generate call activity reports right from the system without external hardware.
“Toshiba takes user productivity to the next level with the latest IPedge software release,” said Brian Metherell, vice president and general manager of Toshiba America’s telecom division. “Combined with the comprehensive IPedge applications already embedded in the software, these two additional applications deliver a highly integrated, cost-effective communications solution.”
Toshiba’s Meet-Me Conference and Call Accounting applications join the multiple IPedge applications that already reside on a single Linux-based server, including call processing, unified messaging, unified communications, mobility and centralized administration, along with optional contact center software and reporting.
