As part of its ongoing commitment to becoming a more channel-focused company, Unify has announced a distribution agreement for unified communications (UC) in North America with ScanSource, a value-added distributor (VAD).
Today’s news follows an announcement earlier this year, where Unify and ScanSource announced distribution agreements in the UK and parts of Europe.
The ScanSource Catalyst business unit, which distributes voice, video, and data convergence solutions, is now authorized to sell and support Unify’s OpenScape solutions and Circuit platform. Available to ScanSource channel partners in the U.S. and Canada, the Unify OpenScape portfolio provides partners with UC for small and medium businesses (SMBs) as well as emerging and large enterprises.
Also now available via ScanSource channel partners, Unify’s Circuit platform offers mobile collaboration and communication, bringing together voice, video, real-time document editing and management, messaging and file sharing into a single view, across an entire team.
“Unify’s solutions dovetail with many channel partners’ existing IT portfolio. The flexibility of an on-premise or virtualized service that’s deployed on top of existing infrastructure, doesn’t require additional hardware, and can maximize limited budgets, and reduce high operational costs,” said John DeLozier, senior vice president of channels for North America at Unify. “ScanSource’s expertise combined with Unify’s world-class portfolio is a winning combination that can provide great selling opportunities for partners. We look forward to expanding our offerings for channel partners with the advanced programs and professional services jointly offered by ScanSource, and Unify.
“We are pleased to expand our portfolio of communications and collaboration offerings with the addition of Unify’s OpenScape solution and Circuit,” added Tom Walker, vice president of sales for ScanSource Catalyst. “We are committed to providing a comprehensive platform of communications solutions to our partners, coupled with our value-added services offering, so that they can continue to meet the changing demands of their end-user customers.”
