Global Capacity has appointed Bill LaPerch, former CEO of AboveNet, to the Global Capacity board.He will provide strategic guidance to the company as it continues to go after the global data connectivity market.

Francis Najafi, chairman of the board of Global Capacity and CEO of Pivotal Group. “His track record as an executive and as a board member is exemplary, and we will benefit greatly from his expertise and perspective as we continue our rapid growth.”
LaPerch brings more than 30 years of executive and board leadership experience in the telecommunications and technology industry. He is the former president and CEO of AboveNet Communications, and he serves on the boards of Windstream Communications, Digital Realty Trust, Inc. and Imation Corp. He also serves as an advisor to FirstLight Fiber and Cross River Fiber, both privately held companies. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Mr. LaPerch also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University.
